Man charged in connection to escape from Hennepin County Jail

The man authorities say escaped from the Hennepin County Jail in November has been charged, according to court records.

A criminal complaint states Michael Frank Simon faces one count of escape from custody, a felony.

According to the complaint, Simon was booked into the Hennepin County Jail in September.

On the morning of Nov. 28, a person observed Simon break a window and climb out onto the roof of the jail. 

Simon was later apprehended in LIttle Canada, the complaint said. 

If found guilty, he could face up to 5 years in prison.
