A Minneapolis man accused of abducting his two daughters in Cottage Grove in June has pleaded guilty.

Court records show that Jeffrey Lo, 24, amended his plea to guilty on two counts of kidnapping and one count of first-degree aggravated robbery. He had pleaded not guilty to those charges and a domestic abuse charge in August.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension issued an Amber Alert for two children on the morning of June 7. Authorities alleged Lo was hiding in the back of a minivan, and a woman driving with two children inside was unaware he was in the van. Authorities said Lo then surprised them and began assaulting the woman, and then drove away with her children at a high rate of speed.

Lo was arrested later that morning after a search that included a total of 14 law enforcement agencies.

His sentencing is set for Dec. 16.
