Major construction projects are about to get back underway at Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport after a brief break for the Super Bowl last month.
"It was about a two-week lull, but not much more than that," Metropolitan Airports Commission Vice President of Planning and Development Bridget Rief said Thursday.
Here's a rundown of some of the new projects expected in Terminal 1:
"I want people to know it's going to be wonderful when it's finished and to please bear with us," Rief said, adding the T1 work will cost about $100 million - not including the parking ramp, which will cost an additional $260 million.
Altogether, the construction is expected to last another four-to-five years, with the end of 2019 expected to be the peak.
