KSTP-TV, 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS announces some exciting changes for its evening news team. To begin, Anchor Leah McLean, who has anchored the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts for the past 13 years will transition to an anchor/reporter role. The change will allow her the opportunity to do what she loves most, spend time in the community where she grew up and tell the important stories that matter to Minnesotans. McLean will continue to anchor the 5 p.m. newscast.
“This is something that I have been thinking about for quite some time, and I recently made the decision that I wanted to make this move. As a journalist, my first love is being in the middle of the action and seeing things as they happen up close,” McLean said. “I look forward to this new role where I can dig into issues and deliver stories that resonate with Minnesotans in our 10 p.m. newscast.”
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS recognizes with new opportunities comes change and we are excited to introduce you to Jackie Cain who will be anchoring the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts alongside anchor Paul Folger.
