Northbound lanes of Highway 169 near Interstate 494 near West Bloomington were closed Thursday morning as the result of a paint spill.

Just before 6:30 a.m., KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said the left two lanes of traffic on northbound Highway 169 reopened while the right lane remained closed.

Smith said the right lane will be closed for the remainder of the day Thursday. Minnesota Department of Transportation crews will return Thursday night to close all northbound lanes once more to finish cleanup.

Smith advised drivers there will continue to be delays in the area.
