A few crashes were popping up on roadways around the metro as rush hour continued Tuesday morning.
But heavy traffic seemed to be causing more delays.
KSTP Meteorologist Sam Ryan, filling in for Traffic Reporter Josie Smith, reported there was a significant delay on Interstate 94 West coming into downtown St. Paul.
That delay - which runs from Century to Interstate 35E - had been running around 30 minutes. Ryan said it appears to be due simply to heavy levels of traffic in the area.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation did advise drivers to look out for a crash in that area, between McKnight Road and Highway 120.
Ryan also reported delays of over 10 minutes on Highway 169 South, Interstate 494 South and Highway 100 South.
In addition, he advised drivers to be prepared for bright sunlight on the roads.
MnDOT reported several other crashes, including on Minnesota Highway 55 at Pleasant Drive in Hastings, on Highway 61 South near Dellwood and on Highway 169 South in New Hope.
Earlier, crashes were reported on Highway 10 East between Highway 65 and Interstate 35W in Mounds View, on Highway 12 near Interstate 494 and 394 in Wayzata and on Highway 10 East between County Highway 10 and Prior Avenue in Arden Hills.
