INTERVIEW: Katie Gamades of Cookie Cart speaks about opportunities for teens at an upcoming event

Cookie Cart, a nonprofit bakery in Minneapolis, aims to empower urban teens by providing them with lasting, meaningful work and life experience through their workplace training, according to manager Katie Gamades.

On Tuesday, July 23, Cookie Cart will host its annual fundraiser "More than a Mixer" at La Doña Cervecería on Fremont Avenue in Minneapolis.The event runs from 5:30-7:30 p.m.


Tickets are $30 per person or $50 for two. Tickets include appetizers and one beverage per person.
