Previous Experience
Katherine joined 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS in December 2012. Before returning home to Minnesota, she spent two years reporting at Fox16 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She has also worked as an Anchor/Reporter, at KGWN in Cheyenne, Wyoming and an Anchor/Reporter at WBUP in Marquette, Michigan.

Awards
In 2010, Katherine received the award for Best Reporter from the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters. Her most memorable experiences in the field include spending the night as an inmate in a Wyoming prison and uncovering unconstitutional ordinances in the city of Gould, Arkansas and getting these ordinances changed.

History and Education
Katherine graduated from the University of Colorado School of Journalism and Mass Communication in May 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast News and a Minor in Philosophy. She was also the News Director of the college radio station.

Personal Interests
Katherine was raised in Bemidji, MN and is glad to be back home in the Northland. She enjoys waterskiing in the summer and alpine skiing in the winter.
