Ruszczyk's Father in Exclusive 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Interview: 'I Thought my World had Ended'

It was a shooting that sparked international outrage and protests.

A 40-year-old woman from Sydney, Australia, called 911 to report what she thought was a situation of a woman in distress.

Unarmed and in her pajamas, Justine Ruszczyk was fatally shot by one of the Minneapolis officers she had called for help.

No one was more baffled, more heartbroken, and more lost than Ruszczyk's father.

John Ruszczyk had not spoken with an American journalist until his interview with 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Anchor Megan Newquist.

Newquist traveled to Sydney to talk with John, who shared his perspective on the case, which began with receiving the agonizing call that his only daughter was dead.
