A Minnesota judge says the Nobles County Sheriff's Office cannot detain people for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Sheriff Kent Wilkening is accused of unlawfully holding people suspected of violating immigration law.
Friday, a judge granted a temporary restraining order against Nobles County at the request of the American Civil Liberties Union.
The lawsuit claims Wilkening is re-arresting people and holding them at the request of ICE.
An attorney for the county says they will appeal the order.
