After years of dreaming of signing an NHL contract, Jack Jablonski did just that Thursday, albeit in a different capacity than he envisioned.

Jablonski joined the Los Angeles Kings full-time as a content coordinator, he said Thursday.

He was in high school at Benilde-St. Margaret's when he was hit during a hockey game, severely injuring his spinal cord and leaving him a quadriplegic.

Jablonski recently graduated from the University of Southern California.

The Jack Jablonski Bel13ve in Miracles Foundation has helped raise money and awareness for those living with paralysis. The foundation says 1.3 million Americans live with paralysis from a spinal cord injury.

His duties with the Kings will include working in podcasts, radio and TV.
