Increase in crime on Grand Avenue in St. Paul leaves businesses, neighbors concerned

Violence on Grand Avenue in St. Paul has many in the neighborhood on guard. 

Over the weekend two men were shot and one died near a bar.

A few weeks ago along Grand Avenue, there was an armed robbery and shots were fired. 

Some stores are adding security because of the increase in violence.

"We have just seen increasing unrest, and it's been sad because it's been just a peaceful little community," Deborah Hodges, with Invision Optical, said.  "We've had an attempted break-in just last week and that was pretty scary. We've increased our security, added cameras, alarm system."

St. Paul police say they've added extra patrols along Grand Avenue.
