Two adults are dead and a boy is injured after a house fire early Sunday morning in Wadena Township.

According to the Wadena County Sheriff's Office, emergency crews responded to a report of a fire just before 4 a.m. A boy was outside the home with minor burns, and firefighters were able to find two adults inside the house.

Life-saving measures were performed on the two adults, but they were pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff's office said. The boy was taken to the hospital for his injuries and has since been released.

The victims' names will be released after family members are notified.

The fire remains under investigation.
