Hopkins police offering reward for information in catalytic converter thefts

Authorities in Hopkins are offering a reward for any information that can lead to an arrest in connection to catalytic converter thefts that have occurred in the west metro.

According to the Hopkins Police Department, officers have responded to two dozen catalytic converter thefts since the first part of February.

Police say the suspects are stealing copper and other metals that are found in the converters.

Police are offering a $1,000 reward for information regarding the thefts that lead to an arrest.
