A barn near Holdingford was determined to be a complete loss after an early-morning fire Wednesday.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, authorities recieved multiple calls at about 4 a.m. of a barn fully engulfed in flames.


When authorities arrived at the scene, Sheriff Steve Soyka said the property owner was unaware his barn was on fire. The owner said cattle and vehicles were stored in the barn and the owner said the cattle were able to exit the barn on their own.

A skid steer and snowmobiles were also lost in the fire.

Authorities are currently investigating what caused the fire.
