Authorities Investigate Triple Shooting in Downtown Minneapolis

Three individuals were hospitalized following a reported shooting downtown Minneapolis early Friday morning.

Authorities responded to the area of North Fourth Street and Second Avenue North around 1:30 a.m. after receiving a report of shots fired.

According to spokesman Scott Seroka, with the Minneapolis Police Department, officers arrived to find three victims with injuries that were not life-threatening. Authorities identified the three as being one adult male victim and two adult female victims.

Authorities said the three were transported to Hennepin Healthcare.

Both investigators and witnesses said they believe the shooting was the result of an altercation.

Two male suspects were also taken into custody after officers found them running from the scene.
