The Burnsville Police Department had a helping hand Tuesday morning finding a person suspected of stealing a vehicle.

According to a post from the department's Facebook page, Eagan police K9 Loki helped Burnsville officers recover a stolen vehicle.

The suspect took the victim's car while it sat warming up in the parking lot of a school. Burnsville officers saw the vehicle pull around the back of a closed business. By the time the officers realized it was the stolen vehicle, the suspect had fled on foot.

The officers made a perimeter around the scene and called on Loki to help.

Loki was able to find the suspect hiding under a trailer, and then the suspect surrendered.

The suspect was arrested and charged with theft.

Eagan Police said Loki "got a nice reward" for his fine detective work.
