Police in Rogers report a 15-year-old girl who was struck by a car while on her way to school and was thrown 45 feet is expected to be OK.

The incident occurred around 7 a.m. Tuesday when the girl was attempting to cross 141st Avenue NE, not at a crosswalk. Police said the girl was conscious and alert when she was transported to seek medical attention.
