Friends and family of a Minneapolis woman did their best to make her feel loved during a difficult time.

Theresa Kappes is in hospice care after she was diagnosed with inoperable colon cancer earlier this month. And because of restrictions from the coronavirus pandemic, she can’t see her loved ones.

But her family knew how to make her smile: They organized a "parade of love" to go by her window.

"So today we are having a parade with all her friends. Our relatives came out so that we can drive by, wave, blow kisses, honk our horns," said Julie Waslay, Kappes’s cousin. "Whatever we can do to show her how much we love her."

Dozens of cars drove by with signs and decorations — all for Kappes.
