The city of Fridley was awarded $516,120 from a federal grant the city will use to build a new mixed-use trail, according to a release from the city.

The trail will run along 7th Street from 61st Avenue South to 53rd Avenue. A second section of trail is proposed to run along the north side of 57th Avenue from University Avenue to 7th Street.
