One of the three dogs saved from a Forest Lake house fire on Saturday has passed away, authorities have confirmed.

According to Forest Lake Fire and Rescue, firefighters were able to rescue all three dogs from a house fire and take them to a veterinarian. The dogs were in fair condition at the time, but one of them has since died, the Forest Lake fire chief said.

The Forest Lake Fire Department said firefighters responded to a 911 call at 7:17 p.m. Saturday on the 20400 block of Goodvine Trail North. The entire garage was burning by the time personnel got to the scene, and the fire had spread to the attic.

Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames from the outside, as it was still unsafe for them to go inside, the fire department said.

No people were hurt by the house fire.
