June 02, 2018 01:28 PM

City, business, and community leaders will gather for an outdoor kickoff to summer in St. Paul at the Flint Hills Family Festival June 1 and 2.

This event will feature family-friendly festivities and food trucks, along with programs and an interactive dance show.

Formerly held Saturday and Sunday, this is the first time the Flint Hills Family Festival has opened on Friday in its 18-year history.

The first weekend in June will prove to be a busy one in St. Paul, with this Festival happening the first two days, and Grand Old Day on June 3. The two festivals attract nearly 300,000 people to St. Paul each year.
