The St. Louis Park Police Department reports one southbound lane of Beltline Boulevard is closed south of Highway 7 due to a carbon monoxide-related incident.

In a tweet, the department asked motorists to use another route if possible.

According to the St. Louis Park Police Department, a call was received around 2:20 p.m. regarding a welfare check. A driver was pulled off to the side when the call was made, and he was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.

Police are working to determine the cause of the carbon monoxide.

Authorities say another leak was coming from the vehicle. The chemical assessment team is investigating what that may be. There are no airborne or other threats to the general public at this time.
