A new addition went up Wednesday at the Minneapolis homeless encampment.
The city's fire department put up a warming tent for those living there. It's a place where residents will be able to come in and get warm.
The hope is also to serve meals there.

The city recently acquired the tent as military surplus from the defense department.
"It's becoming a bigger need every day as it is becoming colder and we need to find safe ways for people to keep warm," Assistant Fire Chief Bryan Tyner said.
