The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced Thursday that it is reviewing Jacob Wetterling investigative documents that were returned to the bureau by a state court order, according to a news release.

The announcement came the same day as the Stearns County Sheriff's Office released 41,787 documents in connection to the investigation. The FBI has 12,545 files that were not part of the Stearns County release.
