The Washburn County Sheriff's Office in Wisconsin reports a fire at a trailer home Thursday night left one man dead and two other people critically injured.

A Facebook post said authorities responded to a call of a fire on Carlton Road in Evergreen Township around 6:46 p.m. Upon arriving on scene, deputies reported the residence was covered in smoke.

The post said first responders broke a window, but could not see inside because of smoke. They then kicked in a door, and were able to see people inside.

However, the door was blocked on the other side and could only be opened as much as a foot.

Authorities were able to remove the door from its hinges and rescued a man and woman from the home - both of whom were breathing but unconscious. A third person was found dead inside the home.

The two injured individuals were transported for medical attention. The post said they are listed in critical condition.

No identities have yet been released, and the matter remains under investigation.
