The man who was killed in the shooting Friday morning has been identified as David Lee, 32, of Oakdale, St. Paul Police said.
As of Monday afternoon, no arrest has been made in the case.
Friday morning, police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and his wife hurt in the Highland Park neighborhood of St. Paul.
Steve Linders, St. Paul police spokesman, said authorities received a 911 call around 2 a.m. reporting shots fired. Officers learned shots had been fired along the 1300 block of Davern Street at about 2:15 a.m.
After the shots had been fired, officers learned the driver of a vehicle had parked on the lawn of an apartment complex in the area, Linders said.
Officers found a woman in the passenger seat of that vehicle, Linders said. The woman appeared to have been shot in the leg.
The woman's husband, Linders said, was in the driver's seat, and had suffered an apparent gunshot wound.
Paramedics were called to the scene and transported the woman to a nearby hospital where she is being treated for injuries that are not life-threatening, Linders said.
The woman's husband was reported dead at the scene.
The St. Paul Police Department's homicide unit was at the scene to collect evidence and identify possible witnesses, Linders said.
No arrests had been made by early Friday morning.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the department at 651-266-5650.
Linders said the shooting marks the 27th homicide in the city this year and the third in a week.
"It's frustrating," Linders said. "It's concerning, to say the least, and I can tell you that everybody at the St. Paul Police Department—from our patrol officers, to our investigators, to our leadership—we're all 100 percent committed to addressing this problem."
