Fatal crash in Brooklyn Park on Highway 252 involves pedestrian

A fatal crash has caused a closure on Highway 252 in Brooklyn Park Monday. 

According to the State Patrol, the crash occurred between 73rd Avenue North and Brookdale Drive. Northbound Highway 252 will be closed for an extended amount of time. 


According to the police report, a Hyundai Elantra was northbound on Highway 252 when it struck a pedestrian walking westbound against the 'Do Not Cross' sign at approximately Brookdale Drive. 

The investigation is ongoing. Identities of those involved will be released at a later time.
