The NCAA expects 70,000 fans to attend the games. The first one will start at 5 p.m. with the second one after the conclusion of the first game.

Basketball fans from around the country, including fans of the Final Four teams, can't wait.

Nicollet Mall was buzzing Saturday morning with fans enjoying Ferris wheel rides, free games, food trucks and plenty of activities, including hairstyling booths for those diehard fans.

Fans told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS so far, they're loving the festivities and the vibe in the Twin Cities.

"Minneapolis has been great, everyone has been a great host, they're smiling, I thought we were friendly in west Texas, but they're awfully friendly around here too," said one fan.

"I'm really enjoying the atmosphere, it's such a fun experience to be a part of," said another.

Fan Fest opened at 10 a.m. and there are many related events and activities for fans to take in throughout the day and the rest of the weekend.

The Final Four festivities will wrap-up with Monday night's NCAA Championship game at 8 p.m.
