Jayme had been missing since Oct. 15, when her parents Denise and James were found dead inside their home in Barron County.

Thursday brought word she would be coming home safely.

"Wow," he said. "I've never been so happy."

Denise's sister Jennifer Naiberg Smith was also filled with emotion after getting the news.

"My sister can rest in peace now," she said. "And Jayme is coming home to me."

Residents of Barron too expressed relief and gratitude Thursday.

"Everybody has been holding out hope," one told KSTP's Callan Gray. "It's on their windows. It's in their yards. It's just wonderful news. I'm so glad."

"She'll have a loving community to come home to," another said. "There will be a lot of help."

Barron mayor Ron Fladten shared the emotions being felt all over the community.

"It's overwhelming," he said. "We've prayed daily for a long time that Jayme would return safely to our community. And you can tell by the emotion in my voice that this is a really big deal."
