No One Injured in Explosion, Fire in Shakopee Near Valleyfair

Firefighters in Shakopee responded to an explosion near Valleyfair Friday morning.

According to the Shakopee Fire Department, the explosion occurred at Anchor Glass, right across Highway 101 from Valleyfair. The explosion caused a fire in the pumphouse building.


No one was injured, and the fire has been extinguished. The state fire marshal is investigating the incident.

The company's environmental manager Travis Richins says the main thing is that no one was hurt. He says everything else can be put back together.
