Who says carousels are just for carnivals?

Joe Bianco and Cam Regan of Ely, Minnesota, created an ice carousel on frozen Burntside Lake.

Taylor Johnson, who recorded the video above, said it took about a day to make the cuts in the ice with chainsaws.

The pair then inserted a trolling motor into the ice and removed ice blocks from the lake to make the various structures decorating the carousel.

This is the third year Bianco has made the carousel, Johnson said. It freezes in about 12 hours once it stops spinning, so it's only in operation for about one night, or however long it keep spinning.

It is not open to the public, but you can see it in action in the video above.
