Police say purses stolen from vehicles around metro area

The Elk River Police Department is warning residents of a group of people who are stealing purses from vehicles.

Police say the group has been active in the entire metro area. 

The Elk River Police Department said the group has been targeting parks, business complexes, gyms, churches and shopping centers.

Anyone who sees suspicious activity that may be connected to these incidents is asked to call 911.
