An elk from a northwest Wisconsin breeding farm has tested positive for chronic wasting disease.

A release from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) said the 6-year-old male elk was euthanized at the Burnett County farm after showing symptoms of the disease.
