"We're not ruling anything out," said the department's Sgt. Matt Smith. "And that's why we have all of the resources we can looking into what happened to her."

Perrault was reported missing in December and the boyfriend with whom she had been living told investigators he had last seen her in November. In a warrant, authorities stated the boyfriend's story changed as weeks went by.

Authorities have been investigating the case as a "highly suspicious death."

A passerby discovered Perrault's body, which was encased in a 500-pound chunk of ice, in a holding pond near the river.

"The family is at the front of our thoughts," Smith said. "It's a terrible tragedy. So now we need to try to find answers and find out what happened."
