Edina police ask for public's help locating missing woman

UPDATE: Woman reported missing in Edina found

Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating a missing woman.


The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said Edina police are looking for Melinda Ann Larson, 64.

The BCA said Larson walked away from her assisted living facility in Edina Tuesday at about 11 a.m.

She is described as being 5 feet, 4 inches tall, about 116 pounds with sandy brown hair and glasses. She was last seen wearing a multi-colored dress and black sweater, likely carrying a green and blue oversized bag with tassels, authorities said.

The BCA said she left all of her medications behind and authorities are concerned for her welfare. She may possibly be headed to the Duluth area.
