UPDATE: The Duluth Police Department has located 77-year-old Helen Marie Goods deceased. ABC-affiliate WDIO reports she was found outside in the area of 800 West Skyline at 6:45 p.m. Friday.

The incident remains under investigation.

Authorities in Duluth seek the public's help in locating a missing 77-year-old woman, according to a news release from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. 

Police identified the woman as Helen Marie Goods.

Authorities said Goods left her residence on the 600 block of North Eighth Avenue on foot around 7:30 or 8 p.m. Thursday.

The release said Goods suffers from dementia, so she could be lost or confused. Authorities said she regularly rides public transportation.

She was described as 5-feet-4-inches, weighing 170 pounds and was last seen wearing jeans, a striped black and blue shirt and a winter coat.
