Two people were arrested after an investigation into the distribution and sales of heroin in the Bemidji and Cass Lake areas.

The Paul Bunyan Task Force (PBTF) said in a release that agents executed a search warrant in Bemidji on Wednesday at a local hotel.

Agents seized 84 grams of heroin, 2.23 grams of marijuana and $882 in cash along with miscellaneous drug paraphernalia, the task force said.

Agents also arrested 31-year-old Isaiah Fredrick Johnson, also known as "Sticks," of Cass Lake, and Ileisha Lynee Guinn, 26, also of Cass Lake, for first-degree possession of a controlled substance. The task force said Johnson was also arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant.

Anyone with information related to the sales or possession of illegal drugs in the area is asked to call the task force at 218-333-8130.
