Driver killed in Dunn County crash identified

Authorities have identified the driver killed in a crash Thursday in Dunn County.

A news release from the Dunn County Sheriff's Office identified the man as 58-year-old Kenneth Candelaria.


The sheriff's office said deputies and Menomonie Fire and Rescue were called to the intersection of U.S. 12 and County Road B in Red Cedar Township at about 3:07 p.m.

The department said an SUV driven by Candelaria was southbound on B when it entered the intersection and collided with a semi that was westbound on Highway 12. 

Candelaria was extricated from the car, and was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
