One person has died after a two-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon in Woodbury.

Woodbury Police said officers were called to an accident near the intersection of Regatta Drive and Woodbury Drive.

According to police, the vehicle on Regatta Drive pulled out onto Woodbury Drive, and was hit by a vehicle heading south on Woodbury Drive.

The driver of the vehicle that turned off Regatta Drive was critically injured. Police said Monday that the driver of that vehicle later died. Officers believe that driver was impaired, but were unable to taken a blood sample due to the severity of the driver's injuries.

The driver of the vehicle headed south on Woodbury Drive suffered moderate injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol was called to conduct crash reconstruction. A report on the crash isn't expected for several weeks, possibly months.
