Over the weekend, State Patrol Lt. Gordon Shank was called upon to wrangle an unlikely duo.

Shank responded to a call of a loose goat and dog that were spotted walking down Highway 61 near Hastings.

According to the state patrol, motorists were able to contain the two animals, and Shank kept them company as he waited for the Animal Humane Society to arrive.

The Animal Humane Society reported the duo were from the same family.
