The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has released its plan to keep deer populations healthy while preserving Minnesota's hunting heritage. 


According to the DNR's Deer Management Plan. there are eight goals included. It includes strategies for maintaining healthy deer and habitat, tracking the impact deer have on the environment and how the DNR engages with hunters. 

"Hunting is critical, new deer hunters too," said Leslie McInenly, with the DNR.
