Digital Daily: UK's Rochester Cathedral installs mini-golf course

Updated: July 31, 2019 04:03 PM

The Rochester Cathedral in Northeast England is combining two passions for its parishioners: prayers and putting.

The Rochester Bridge Trust installed a mini-golf course in the central nave of the cathedral.

Builders modeled the course after architectural styles that were used in local building during the cathedral's 1000-year history.

Cathedral officials said the bridges are meant to be a creative way to have players reflect on spiritual links in their lives.

Young and old are enjoying the golf and the biblical lessons, including the younger visitors.

So far, the idea is getting high praise. The mini-golf course is open through the end of August.
