Digital Daily: Ohio couple finds out they're pregnant with twins 2 weeks after agreeing to adopt sisters

Updated: August 13, 2019 03:53 PM

Ohio couple Calena and BJ Durel wanted to start a family for more than five years, but struggled with infertility.

So instead, they opened their home and their hearts to foster children like sisters Aubree and Mariah, who spent some afternoons with the Durels.

When it came time for Aubree and Mariah to find a "forever home," the girls chose the Durels and fulfilled Calena and BJ's wish.

But just two weeks later, another miracle happened. Calena learned she was pregnant with twins, thus expanding the Durel family even more.

"We waited so many years to have one child and now we're getting blessed with four. It was amazing," said BJ Durel.

Aubree and Mariah were officially adopted last week, and the family of six is now officially complete.
