Walking while texting can be dangerous, especially on a subway platform.

A man in Buenos Aires learned that lesson the hard way.

He was ambling along a subway and was so engrossed in his cellphone he walked off the edge.

The 49-year-old was already sporting an orthopedic foot brace, which didn't help.

He quickly scrambled to get his things off the tracks, including his cellphone.

Luckily, some good Samaritans rushed to him and pulled him to safety before a train pulled into the station.

EMTs arrived and checked the man out. Eventually, they loaded him onto a stretcher and carried him to a hospital for treatment.
