Updated: August 28, 2019 03:50 PM

On Monday night, a bear and two cubs found their way into a Pine, Colorado couple's house.

Surveillance video captured the pair sneaking in through the screen door and enjoying a snack in the kitchen.

The homeowners were downstairs when they heard the noise in the kitchen.

Jon Johnson fought back by punching the mother bear in the face, and George Field used a baseball bat to fend off them off.

It took only about 2 minutes for Johnson and Field to drive the mother bear and her cubs away.

The mother bear was caught and euthanized — the cubs are still out there. Officials are hoping to find them and take them to a shelter.
