So far this holiday weekend, law enforcement officers across the state have made more than 400 arrests for driving while intoxicated.

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety tweeted Sunday morning there have been 419 total DWIs over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Between midnight on Thanksgiving and 6 a.m. Friday, there were 143 DWI arrests alone.

"There is no excuse," DPS tweeted. "If you know someone who plans (on) drinking and driving, speak up and offer to get them home safely."
