Day 2 of the Minnesota State Fair: 'Governor's Fire Prevention Day'

Friday marks the second day of the 2019 Great Minnesota Get-Together.

What you need to know before heading to the Minnesota State Fair


Friday, "Early Bird Specials" are offered until 1 p.m. on Might Midway and Kidway rides and games.

Friday is also "Governor's Fire Prevention Day" at the fair.

According to fair officials, the event is the "largest fire-prevention education event in the world." Visitors will be able to learn about fire prevention, how to safely escape from a fire, how to properly use a fire extinugisher, and more.

Those events will take place at Dan Patch Park, the North End and DNR Park.
