Police in Wyoming, Minn. find 'crude homemade IED' in the middle of a road

"Crude homemade IED"

According to a Twitter post from the Wyoming, Minn. Police Department, a homemade IED was found in the middle of a road. 

Someone saw the device on E Viking Blvd on a bridge that goes over Sunrise Creek at around 9 p.m. on Saturday night and called the police.


The device used starter fluid and fireworks, it also appears someone tried to ignite it and failed.

The St. Paul bomb squad were called in to help dismantle the device rendering it safe. 

No one was injured as a result of the IED.
