Personnel from New Brighton Public Safety, the Ramsey County and Hennepin County sheriff's offices, the Roseville Fire Department, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter are carrying out the search.

Authorities say that boaters should stay clear of the active search zone, and everyone should avoid the beach area and boat launch so emergency crews can access the scene.

Just before 8 p.m. Saturday, crews paused the search due to nighttime conditions; the search will resume Sunday morning.
